More surgery for Pootjes

Davy Pootjes career has taken another hit with more surgery planned for the Dutch talent on a herniated disc that he needed surgery on last season!

It’s been a very tough few seasons for the rider who had so much promise early on in his career – motocross is a tough sport!

The Dutch talent was preparing for the ADAC MX Masters series after signing with KMP Honda but will miss round one this weekend, hopefully he can return later in the year.

Davy Pootjes posted the following update:

By far not the news I wanted to share with you. After my herniated disc at the end of last season and having surgery on it.

I was allowed to start riding again, and had good weeks on the bike and felt really really good on the bike.

Until one day I woke up with back pain again in the same area, went to the doctor and he said it can only be scar tissue from the surgery and gave me 3 injections in my back to fix that. Weeks with pain passed by and a new scan showed I have again a herniated disc on the same place as last year (so not fixed well).

Tomorrow I have surgery. You can’t believe or imagine how sick and done I am with it. I didn’t want to post anything as people mostly hate, but I don’t care, need to update people who do care and support me. Thank you and see you soon”.
