Max Schwarte to race the opening round of the AMA National series

Max Schwarte from the Netherlands has travelled to America and will race the opening round of the AMA National series in the 250cc class. Brent Norman who helped Rick Elzinga last year to contest two rounds of the series has also played a part in getting Max Schwarte to the opening round this year and if he qualifies, he will also race round two.

“Well last winter I came over to Brent Norman together with Robert, Ricks machanic from last year, to train and be a tourist. Brent came with us to the track to see us ride and then he said, “you two are riding that good, come over to ride some AMA”. So, on Saturday we are trying to qualify and have some fun with riding on a great track”, Schwarte told GateDrop.com.

I’ve had two weeks of training here. First on the 450cc then only two times with the 250cc because the bike was not ready yet. So I didn’t have much time for testing but still the bike feels good and I am ready. If the riding feels good and we get some good results we will also go to race the second round at Hangtown. I want to thank Brent Norman so much for this opportunity and all his help. Of course, all my sponsors and supporters back home”, added Schwarte.
