Marc de Reuver ‘OPEN’ about his life and career in biography

Former motocross rider and current motocross trainer Marc de Reuver (1983) is launching a biography in 2021. Marc has worked for a year on a revealing book about his career in cooperation with journalist Tim Gerth (1991) and publisher Edicola. On the eve of the Dutch MXGP in Oss it is time to reveal the cover and release specifics.

In OPEN Marc opens up about his career and life. From the early beginnings to his first GP victory, from the Motocross World Championship to the legendary local races in The Netherlands and from his infamous Reuverdome to the fan parties at the El Sombrero club, no stone has been left unturned.

‘In interviews Marc always told me he could help out young talent because he made so many mistakes in his career himself. I wanted to learn more about these mistakes and when I did, I was sure his was a story that needs to be told’, author Tim Gerth explains how the idea of writing a biography about Marc de Reuver was born.

Marc himself was happy to tell his story. ‘Last year Tim approached me with the idea to write a book about my life. His only condition was that I would tell him absolutely everything. To be honest that was the only way I wanted to do it as well. There are so many ‘Marc de Reuver-stories’ around! It’s time to tell my own Marc de Reuver story now. I hope, after reading the book, it will be easier for people to understand me.’
