Lotte van Drunen confirms 2022 plans – EMX125 and starts up her own team

Lotte van Drunen will ride for her own team in the 2022 season. After various discussions with various professional teams, it was decided to ride for a self-organized team in her first year on the 125cc.

This has been made possible by some great sponsors including KTM Austria, Dik van Wikselaar, Fox Europe, WZ Reclame and Peter van de Laar. In addition, Lotte can count on the support of a large group of loyal sponsors who have been helping her for years and thus form a strong foundation. These key partners will be announced shortly.

The focus for the 2022 season is on gaining as much experience as possible in the 125cc class. Lotte will start in several competitions for the EMX125 Championship, Dutch Masters of Motocross and the Open Dutch Championship 125cc. Because Lotte is only 14 years old, she is not yet allowed to participate in the world championship, this is only possible after August 9, when she is fifteen years old. From that moment on, there are two more women’s World Championship events on the calendar in France and Turkey and she will make her debut in the Women’s World Championship. If the calendar allows, she will also participate in several other competitions.

Lotte has been training on the 125cc for some time and will use the winter months to start well prepared for the new season. The first race for the EMX125 Championship will be held in England’s Matterley Basin over the weekend of February 19-20, which is eight weeks from now!
