Jett Lawrence touched briefly on the agent fall-out in a cleverly worded question by Jase McAlpine in the press conference.
The Aussie main event winner, said: “Honestly, I just focus on myself with the bike, that’s all I have been doing these past few weeks. Going back to Florida and having a nice reset; seeing my dog, my two lizards and some friends. Sadly, I am not a big fan of California, driving hours to the test track and back, you kind of lose your whole day! It was just nice to get a reset, I only got to ride one time but going back and being in your own bed and stuff just helped me to focus back on myself.
“I have to focus on a championship, I don’t really have time to focus on drama during the week. I have a very good agency with Wasserman, my manager Jacob (Hayes) and Travis Clarke, so they handle that stuff for me, I don’t need to worry about that, I am focussing on racing dirt bikes, that’s what I get paid to do, I am going to do that the best I can, I don’t need any other drama outside. I just focus on riding my bike and getting that better, getting myself better and just keep my head down.”
On the importance of his first win of the season Jett said: “It was just good to know I can win a main event again, honestly! So, yeah, it was just good to get back on that track and keep that momentum going.”
