Ken Roczen has had some fun this summer even doing a couple truck races but it is back to business for the Supercross champion for the next three weekends with the SMX title on the line. But, while Ken has been riding quite regularly he admits rain in Florida has prevented him getting some Supercross laps in ahead of racing this weekend.
Roczen said: “I really didn’t take any time off, just for the hell of it. For the riding side of things I did, for the longest time I would ride once every two weeks then picked it up a little bit down the road, I felt pretty connected to the bike. I haven’t had much Supercross riding in at all, we have been hammered with rain in central Florida, other than that I tried to cover my bases as much as I could on the motocross track and on our sand track.
Nonetheless, I expect to have a little bit of an adjustment time here, just getting back into the flow, but I think the most important is the second and third races with the points double and triple. We are pretty calm, just take what we can get so far. On the fitness side of things, everything feels good to go, really just log some laps and get back into the racing side of things.”
The one thing we know with Ken Roczen is that he is so talented it usually doesn’t take him much time to get back into his race flow and by the time the gate drops for race time he is usually able to execute when it really matters!
