Josh Gilbert returns to racing this weekend – ‘going in with an open mind’

The Par Homes Husqvarna rider Josh Gilbert returns following time out due to an injury earlier in the year. We managed to grab a couple of minutes of Josh’s time ahead of Saturdays racing at Foxhill in Swindon.

How does it fell to be back riding after your time off due to injury?

“It feels so good to be back riding. I had six months off the bike so the first few times were steady back on the bike. This week I’ve been out in Belgium training and I now have a really good feeling on the bike.”

Looking ahead to Foxhills on Saturday what are your thoughts on the circuit?

“I enjoy Foxhills. I’ve had some good results there in the past so I think it’s a good track for me to come back to. Roll on Saturday!”

What’s your thoughts ahead of Foxhills in terms of your plan of attack, goal for the day with it being your first British Championship round of the year?

“I’m just going to go into Saturday with an open mind. Everyone else have had months to prepare and done multiple races now. It would be nice to be up the front Saturday but at the same time I’ve only had three weeks on the bike so I got to remember I’m not at 100% yet. I’m just excited to get back behind the gate again.”
