Jordon Smith says he has finally left hospital in Dallas and is heading home to recover. He also admits he isn’t sure what he really did wrong after watching the crash except maybe less throttle!
The Triumph rider who was one lap away from the win when he went down hard in the whoops, suffered 4 broken ribs, a punctured lung, and a small laceration in his spleen.
Smith said:
“Headed home from Dallas! Thanks to everyone who has reached out to us! I’m thankful it wasn’t worse, that was one of the hardest slams I’ve ever taken. Going to recover as quick and fully as possible and be back to the races soon”.
“Really feel like this is the best riding of my career, and that crash was just unfortunate. I’ve watched it back a hundred times and I can’t point out anything I could’ve done different other than maybe not on throttle as hard.”
