With more crashes than normal and the difficulties with his foot, Lewis Phillips asked Jett Lawrence if his confidence had been affected, but Jett said no!
“I feel like the confidence hasn’t really taken much of a toll,” said Jett. “It’s also like my reaction time of when things go wrong hasn’t been as great because of it. So I think that’s why you see me crash a lot more than normal because I’m not pushing over my head at all. It’s just when something goes a little funky, I try to adjust but I just can’t with my foot. So I think it’s more that the confidence I don’t think has taken much of a toll. It’s just more of being getting annoyed about it.”
“I kind of got a short term memory by the time I go back out again trying to ride. So we’ve been doing a pretty good job of forgetting about it and just trying to get back and keep hitting my lines and trying to just hit my marks and not try and make any mistakes where it puts me in that scenario.”
