Jett Lawrence was absolutely flying in moto two at Millville after finally passing his brother and really putting on the afterburners to get a gap with breathtaking speed until he had a bizarre crash that saw him get pinned down by his own bike!

Jett was able to get up and finish fifth in the moto and third overall but it cost him the race win and points in the championship, as Hunter went 1-1. But, despite his disaapointment, he was happy with his speed: “I was feeling so good, man. I had my lines picked out and jus felt comfortable. In that spot I saw Oldenberg get kicked and it probably took my focus off by just a smidge, I was like, ‘he almost died and then coming around the front dived and then it was history. The bike came and got me and pinned me down by my leg and I was stuck there, which sucks.
“Hunter and I were ripping, I felt good in that one but lost some points to Hunter. I honestly think it’s just not enought riding time during the week, I am not used enough to the bike during the week. We are going to go back and try and ride some more to be better because I am feeling really good just need to be a little bit better.
I had a little bit of pain (from the crash) in the back of my left leg – my good leg! After a little bit the adrenaline kicked in, it was more just the the handlebar was really pressuring the one spot it hit, but we will be fine.”
