Normally happy and relaxed, Jett Lawrence face was a picture of frustration after going 3-2 in Texas to set up a winner takes all duel for the SMX world title next week in Vegas.
Jett had worked his way into the lead in race one until a stall cost him two positions. A bad start in race two meant second was the best he could do for third overall and he wasn’t thrilled about his day, calling for a meeting with the team to improve things.
Jett said in his post-race TV interview: “A little bit of lack of bike fitness on that one, the bike beat me up. We are going to go back and have a meeting, still a little upset about the first one. Onto the last round, when pressure gets put on we seem to do good…so, let’s run it.”
A mistake from Jett let’s Eli by, and the battle is on for the lead!
