After winning his his first 450 supercross race at his first attempt, Jett Lawrence admitted he is chasing Jeremy McGrath’s seemingly unbeatable 72 supercross win record.

Jett says he may not ever get there but uses it as a goal every day for motivation!

Jett stated in the press conference: “In all seriousness about that, it probably might not get done, it’s a lot of race wins. Coming in you have got to set such a high goal for yourself that’s going to make you go a little crazy for it and make you work hard. It’s not meaning really that I’m going to do it, it’s I want to have a goal, if I didn’t have a goal I would be happy just to be here and race around in whatever positionn I wanted. (Winning one) It doesn’t change anything really.

The people can say what they say, it doesn’t really affect me, you can see where we are now. It was more of setting a goal for myself and to make sure I wake up every day with that on my mind to make sure I push a little bit extra and have that self-motivation for myself.
