Whilst going 1-1 at the previous round of the British Championship which took place at Blaxhall, Isak Gifting also picked up a knee injury. As a result the Swede will miss this weekend’s MX2 World Championship round taking place in Indonesia.
“Isak Gifting has been ruled out of the MXGP of Indonesia, after suffering a knee injury at last weekend’s British race. We will provide another update on his condition in the next week or so”, the Hitachi KTM fuelled by Milwaukee team stated on social media.
The Hitachi KTM fuelled by Milwaukee team will still be present at Indonesia as the talented, Kay Karssemakers will race the MX2 World Championship for the team.
It remains to be seen how long Gifting will be out injured for and if he requires surgery but hopefully he can make a quick recovery so he can battle for the British championship and to stay in the top ten of the MX2 World Championship.
