Injury update: Elias Escandell

The opening round of the EMX250 championship takes place next weekend in Cozar, Spain. Elias Escandell was looking forward to the 2025 season getting underway in was is his second season in the class.

For the upcoming season Escandell had inked a deal with Italian based team, Ghidinelli Racing who have made the switch to KTM machinery this year and will focus on four-stroke machinery after having ran two-strokes in the past.

Unfortunately, whilst putting in the prep for the EMX250 championship, Escandell had a crash and had to be air lifted to hospital.

The full extent of the injury is a broken femur so it’ll be a long time out for the Spanish talent who will now focus on his recovery. Fingers crossed he can make it back before the end of the season.

We’d like to wish Escandell well with his recovery.

The Spaniard provided the following update on social media:

“Hello friends. Yesterday I had a fall in which I broke my femur… Today I went to the operating room. Thank you all for the messages of encouragement”.

The Ghidinelli Racing will still have Alexis Fueri and Brando Rispoli under the awning to focus on the EMX250 championship.
