Injury update: Daniel Gimm

Bad news for Riccardo Boschi’s, Yamaha JK Racing Team. Daniel Gimm, winner of the Yamaha Blu 125cc Challenge last year has injured his shoulder. Everything goes back to the Cingoli round of the Italian Junior Championship. The Yamaha rider crashed and hit his shoulder so hard that he didn’t take part in the second heat.

At first it looked like it could have been a dislocation, but unfortunately deeper examinations revealed a more serious injury. Gimm could not race the first round of the EMX125 at Matterley Basin last Sunday and obviously he will not take part in the race in Maggiora this weekend. At the moment he is resting and we can’t exclude the possibility of surgery to speedup the recovery time.

Riccardo Boschi: “There is a lot of regret for this injury. Unfortunately, it has come at the moment when Daniel was in full form; he had trained well and was very fast. For sure we would have seen him among the protagonists of the EMX125 championship and the Italian Junior. I can’t wait for him to get back to racing.”
