Courtney Duncan came into the season with an injury but she was just getting back on form. However, the Kiwi is now sidelined for the German round of WMX this weekend after a practice crash.
Duncan has already had surgery in Belgium but she didn’t reveal the exact injury. According to ODT, a NZ source, she has had knee surgery.
Hopefully her recovery won’t take too long and she’ll be back behind the gate as soon as possible.
“Due to a practice crash last week I’ll be sidelined for the German GP this weekend. I underwent Surgery with Dr Steven Claes in Belgium Monday and started physio therapy today. We are not here to dwell on it, we will rebound from this and be back at it very soon”, Duncan stated on social media.Â
With Duncan out and missing at least one round, it looks like there will be a first time WMX champion this year with Lotte van Drunen and Daniela Guillen currently locked in a championship battle.
