After being taken out by Vince Friese in WSX leaving him with a dislocated shoulder, Dean Wilson is understandably absolutely fuming with Vince Friese with Wilson’s UK Arenacross season now in the balance depending on the severity of the injury follow MRI results.
Wilson was having a strong weekend but it didn’t end how he’d have hoped!
Wilson stated the following via an Instagram post:
“Coming through the pack, trying to get around Vince (Friese), and go around him – pass him nice and clean through the whoops, super-clean. I’m moving forward, got three guys in front of me, and he just doesn’t try to turn, completely blindsides me, I didn’t even see it coming once again. There was no build up to this, haven’t had any beef with him since A1, and he just completely f**king drove it into me. People behind me that were in the race said they’ve never seen someone get hit so hard”.
“Anyways, dislocated my shoulder, I’ve torn my labrum, and it’s putting everything in jeopardy as far as WSX and the UK goes. I didn’t see it coming, didn’t brace for it, nothing. I didn’t see there was even any need for it – typical Vince sh*t, and I think it’s complete f**king bulls**t. I’ve said this millions of times. Where’s the punishment? He never gets penalized for anything he does and I’m just sick of it”.
“Now I may have to get surgery, all the races I had planned, the cool things I had scheduled, are all in jeopardy because someone injured me. To say I’m frustrated is a very light way to put it… It just sucks, because I was on a pretty good roll and think I was riding pretty good. I just seen the doctors last night, got MRIs and all that, so I’ve got to figure out if I want to get surgery or not. It is what it is, I guess, but I just think it’s bulls**t.”
Dean added on Instagram: PART 2- Like I said. I’m sorry I even had to do this post. I wish it was something positive after the weekend. But enough is enough. Also excuse the language for the wee ones, just frustrated… I want to thank @dr_steveandrews for getting me in quick last night. Thank you @yarrivek @martin__davalos @cbrown_c72 & my wife @sarahvanicek . I really want to still come to the Uk, Germany & Ofcourse race US SX but we will just see what we decide to do. Thank you all for the support”
