After Liam Everts fractured his neck in China, Belgian MXoN team manager, Joel Roelants, has called up Jago Geerts as his replacement despite an injury ravaged season.
This is still a very strong team and paper if Jago can find his real form and Sacha is recovered from injury. But it’s a shame Liam won’t get to race the MXoN at the track his dad went out on top on by beating James Stewart.
The team Belgium statement said:
“Unfortunately, Liam Everts sustained an injury during the Grand Prix of China and will not be able to compete for Team Belgium this year. We wish him all the best and a speedy recovery! But fear not, Team Belgium is still bringing the heat! We are proud to announce that Jago Geerts will join Team Belgium in the open class. With his skill and determination, we’re confident the team will continue to shine on the track!”
