After a full season out injured Vitezslav Marek is somewhat of a forgotten gem. The Czech talent was hoping to line up in the EMX125 championship this year and be a championship contender after finishing fourth in the series in 2023 behind Janis Reisulis, Mathis Valin and Max Werner.
Unfortunately after a hip injury which led to nourish issues, he was out for the whole 2024 season which is a real shame as he’d have been a front runner in the EMX125 class.
For the 2025 season Marek will continue racing with the Cermen Racing structure but he will have a new challenge moving up to the 250cc full time. The Czech talent will race the competitive EMX250 championship as well as the ADAC Youngsters Cup.
It’s never easy to return after such a long time out injured but the goal for 2025 will be to rebuild his career and hopefully remain injury free. If he can do that he has the talent to get good results and especially the more bike time he gets at the races.
“The decision was quite easy because after a year without racing I don’t have many offers for the next season”, Marek told GateDrop.com.
“It was very difficult to be out all year watching the races only on TV. To see that the riders I was fighting with last year and was better than them at the end of the year, going on to win the (EMX125) title. I’m excited and motivated to step up to 250cc and I’m looking forward to it. I have ridden a 250cc, but only on a 2 stroke, I have not been on the 4 stroke yet”.
“I have no expectations for next year. I just want to go out there and have fun. I would like to thank my sponsors for believing in me even in the most difficult days”, concluded Marek.
