EXCL: SDM Corse Racing to run the official Fantic EMX125 team in 2024?

The SDM Corse Racing team have been focused on the MXGP World Championship in recent years. The team ran the Factory Beta setup in 2021 and 2022 achieving some good results with Jeremy Van Horebeek. This year the team switched back to Husqvarna machinery and signed up Nicholas Lapucci for the 2023 MXGP World Championship season but the Italian suffered with injuries. Swedish rider, Albin Gerhardsson ended up under the awning to finish the MXGP World Championship campaign.

For the 2024 season, we believe the SDM Corse Racing team will be switching manufacturer again and will be running the official Fantic EMX125 team for the year ahead. The Maddii Racing team have ran that effort in the past but have already confirmed they will be making the switch to Ducati.

Despite focusing on MXGP in the past few years, the SDM Corse team have EMX experience as they’ve ran the official Yamaha EMX250 effort in the past before stepping up to MXGP.

We believe that Noel Zanocz and Simone Mancini will form the SDM Corse Fantic rider line up to take on the EMX125 series in 2024.

With regards Fantic in the World Championship, Wilvo Racing will run the MXGP setup with SM Action running the MX2 efforts and they’ll also run an EMX250 rider.

We’ll bring you more news as and when it is made official.
