The JWR Honda team had been linked to many brands recently after a very good season contesting the MXGP World Championship. But due to tough times and a long season, it had them question if they would continue in the MXGP paddock.
It’s meant that the JWR Honda team had an uncertain future and paddock talk had suggested that the team could be closing the doors. We have good news on that front as we believe the team will be staying in the World Championship paddock and once again run an MXGP team with Honda machinery – the same setup as 2023.
In the past the team had focused on the full MXGP season but we believe for the 2024 season, the team will contest the rounds that take in Europe and won’t contest the oversea GP’s.
The team are expected to run a two rider liner up in what is welcome news as it is important to keep as many teams as possible in the paddock.
