EXCL: David Braceras to contest the British Championship at Lyng

The MXGB British Championship heads into its third round on May the 3rd at Lyng, and the MX2 class is set to receive an exciting boost with the addition of a high-calibre international wildcard. Spanish talent David Braceras will make the trip to the UK to line up against the domestic regulars in what promises to be a good day of racing.

Braceras, who has already contested in two rounds of the MX2 World Championship this season, will join the Mxology K-Tech Triumph squad for the event. The team have elected to give the Spaniard an opportunity to showcase his speed on British soil, adding further intrigue to an already competitive class.

With his GP experience and proven pace, Braceras is expected to be firmly in the mix at the front.

His appearance not only raises the level of competition in MX2 but also gives British fans a chance to see an emerging international prospect in action. All eyes will be on Lyng to see how Braceras measures up against the championship regulars.

David Braceras:

It is very nice to go racing in the UK. Last year I raced the Hawkstone International event and I have great memories of it. I can’t wait to go racing again there. Many thanks to Jake, Mark and Sam and all the team for the opportunity, it will be a nice weekend for sure.

Team quote:

We are very excited to be able to support David aboard one of our Triumph TF250X Race bikes as a collaboration between Mxology and K-Tech Suspension. For 2026 David has competed the FIM MX2 World Championship but with his main focus being the Spanish National Championship. The break in his racing schedule has allowed David to come to the UK to race Round 3 at Lyng which we are excited to see how he fairs. This is not Davids first time racing in the UK having ridden the Hawkstone international last year. Has a team we are very much looking forward to it.
