Ducati to make racing debut this weekend!

Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), the wait is finally over. This weekend on the prestigious “Tazio Nuvolari” track in Mantova the official racing debut of the Ducati Desmo450 MX will take place. The Borgo Panigale company is ready to kick off this year’s Motocross season with its new prototype, that will compete in the first round of the Italian Pro-Prestige MX1 Motocross Championship.

The multiple Italian champion Alessandro Lupino will take to the track with the new bike “Made in Borgo Panigale” and will be followed closely by the nine-time World Champion Antonio Cairoli who with Alessandro is carrying forward the development of the Desmo450 MX.

The Ducati Corse R&D-Factory MX Team, managed by Corrado and Marco Maddii, will be involved in all 6 races of the Italian Motocross Championship which will visit all the best Italian tracks. The championship starts this weekend in Mantova and will end in Faenza in mid-September, with a race every month.

The race weekend will open on Saturday, March 16 with the official practice and qualifying which will decide the pole position, while on Sunday the riders will take to the track for the two races.

An unmissable event for all enthusiasts who will be able to see the new Ducati Desmo450 MX in action for the very first time.

Both races of the Italian Pro-Prestige MX1 Motocross Championship will be broadcast on the Rai Sport networks, allowing motocross enthusiasts to view it from home.
