After winning his first 250 supercross title, Haiden Deegan admitted, now that he had the full set of AMA 250 titles, the focus and talk will now shift to when he moves to the 450, but there are no definitive plans yet.
Deegan said: “Yeah, I mean, definitely this championship, I was kind of going to be the talk of when I was going to go to a 450 because now I got to move up, but I’m not really sure. I’m going to probably get on it soon, start filling that thing out, and we’ll see how it goes, but as of now, just super gross and outdoors on a 250.”
Deegan was also asked if he would continue his smack talk in the 450s: “No, I’m going to stick to talking crap in the 250 class,” answered the new 250 West supercross champ. “I love it. I think the more I talk, the more people…I have a really good fan base behind me, and a lot of supporters, which I love, but I got a lot of people that don’t like me, and that’s what motivates me to get up in the morning at 6.30 and go grind every day. So, this is why I talk, it motivates me, and it has these haters motivate me too, and that’s what builds me, but right now, 250 is what we’re focused on.”
Dad, Brian Deegan, then offered his view on Instagram saying the plan is to race the 250 indoors in 2026 but go 450 outdoors…but that could be subject to change! Brian wrote: “250sx then 450mx as of now. But who knows..”
