After a day of impressive domination that saw Deegan come from the back of the top ten to first in both motos, the Star Yamaha SMX defending champ says that any criticism he gets from fans, media and even riders just fuels him!
He even referenced RJ Hampshire who crashed into a concrete wall trying to hold Deegan off for second in the opening moto!
Deegan said:
“Everything fuels me, anything, you could say one word and that fuels me to work harder, that’s how I work. Even RJ, he was behind me in qualifying yelling at me. I was like dude, don’t do that, that’s not smart and it clearly didn’t work for him – clearly wasn’t smart. I get fuelled by anything, any crap talk, if you guys want to say something to me say it, because it’s going to make me better.”
