Guillem Farres will make his return to racing this weekend in Switzerland after being sidelined with injury.

The young Spaniard suffered a big crash during the timed practice session at the French GP, which initially looked very serious as he was stretchered off the track. Thankfully, Farres avoided any major injuries but was forced to take some time away from racing.

Despite travelling to Sardinia the following weekend in hopes of lining up, the medical team on site didn’t grant him clearance to race. It was then decided he would also sit out the Arco di Trento GP to ensure a full recovery.

Farres is now back and feeling strong ahead of the Swiss GP this Saturday and Easter Monday. He confirmed the news in a video message:

“What’s up guys, it’s Guillem Farres here. We’re out here in Switzerland. I’ve been out of the last races, I had a pretty big crash in France where I hit my head. We’ve been taking some time off, got back on the bike a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been feeling great. We’ve made it here to Switzerland and I’m really excited to be back at the races and really looking forward to tomorrow.”

With his Triumph Racing teammate Camden McLellan delivering standout performances at the last two rounds, it’ll be a big boost for the team to have both riders back on track.

Hopefully Farres can now enjoy an injury-free run through the rest of the season to fulfil his potential.
