After missing the last few outdoor races, Chase Sexton has given an update on the shoulder injury that kept him off the gate at the end of the motocross season following his crash at Ironman.

Sexton said at the SMX press conference: “I landed on my shoulder pretty hard, but I am not sure if it was from when I landed, if it yanked my shoulder or when I actually crashed. My shoulder was pretty weak, I took some time off and was able to get on SMX two/two and a half weeks ago. So, I have been riding quite a bit and did some testing, I feel really comfortable actually. I am excited for this weekend and the next few races, hopefully we can finish the series this year!”

“It just hasn’t worked out for me at the last race for me yet. For me, I am just coming in with the same plan. I have had the luxury of coming in the number one seed and this year I don’t, so I am a little bit behind but I think those double and triple point races, they are so important, especially the last one, need to capitalise on that and maximise points.”
