Sacha Coenen made such as impression in America by going 1-1 at Southwick despite breaking his collarbone after a crash while 14 seconds out front in moto two yet still getting up and pulling away again to win, that is wasn’t only the trackside fans that were in awe of his speed, grit and determination, even Brian AND Haiden Deegan were impressed!
Talking to Jason Weigandt on his Weege show, Brian said: “I’ll be honest, I am a big fan of Coenen, the little one! That’s what sells tickets, that guy, he’s a hero already! I wasn’t a fan but he earned my respect today, I love watching racing like that.
When guys go out and perfect this and perfect that, yeah, I respect that. But when you are a normal fan it looks easy but Coenen makes it look hard and gnarly – that’s exciting! He’s a stud!”
Haiden said: “I was watching and thinking, I see a lot of myself in him but he’s just a little too sendy (even compared to Haiden), he’s fun to watch!
