Austin Forkner had a huge crash in Arlington Supercross earlier in the year and since then has been focusing on his recovery and was planning to try and return for the outdoors.
His plans had to change though after being told he required brain surgery in what is a complex injury. The surgery was required to remove an AVM found in his head.
The American has been told that he should be able to get back on the bike in around September time so he is planning on being back behind the start gate next year.
