Chance Hymas made a mistake during free practice of the SMX finale and the American as a result has small fractures in two wrist bones.
As a result, the American has had no choice than to withdraw from the MXoN after being selected for America.
With the event taking place next weekend, this is a disaster for team America to say the least.
Hymas posted the following update on social media:
“A slight mistake yesterday and I over jumped the triple, jammed my left wrist pretty bad. But after further evaluation a CT scan showed small fractures in two wrist bones and it raised concern about an injured ligament between the bones”.
“We’ve had to make the difficult decision to withdraw from MXON. There are a lot of people involved in this decision, and so many factors that have to be considered beyond just me”.
“I will always step up for my country. This decision is about giving Team USA the best possible chance at a great result. I know I wouldn’t be at 100%, and I don’t believe that would be fair to Coop, Levi, or the entire USA team”.
“Representing my country is something I will always be proud of, and this was an incredibly difficult decision to make”.
