Race One: Despite missing a round due to injury, Francisco Garcia made his return and after a holeshot it was normal service resumed as he pulled away from the rest of the pack. He did have a small tip over but it didn’t matter and he still picked it up in first.
Nicolai Skovbjerg again didn’t get the best of starts but at least he was in the top ten. He had a big gap to make up when he got into fourth but he did catch and pass Joe Brookes and Francesco Bellei to come home in second – certainly nothing wrong with the pace.
Brookes tried a move on Bellei but had to settle for fourth spot – still a good ride. Byron Dennis had a strong ride in his first EMX250 race rounding out the top five.
Race Two: It was more of the same for Garcia in race two as he got into the lead and just pulled away at the front of the field, a very impressive return to racing for the Spanish talent.
Brookes was riding great as he passed Cannon and was looking good in second. However, the Aussie responded and was able to pass the British talent back to bring home a BUD Kawasaki 1-2. Brookes brought home third for his second podium of the season – great for British Motocross.
Bellei finished in fourth to round off the podium – that’s now two in a row for the Italian talent. Dennis was strong again finishing fifth for fifth overall – an encouraging EMX250 debut.
Skovbjerg will be frustrated as he was twenty-first on the first lap and missed out on a podium coming back to sixth.
