Hunter Lawrence was understandably fuming after losing the first moto win at Red Bud with a tip-over on the last lap having run down Jett Lawrence for the lead!
But Jett Lawrence was just as unhappy as Hunter was with the young Aussie never really experiencing being caught, passed and dropped before! Jett threw his helmet to the ground and confessed in his interview he “didn’t deserve” to win the race.
As nice and happy as both boys are in general life, it really shows just how badly they both want to win and why they are both at the top of the sport – they hold themselves to extremely high standards and nothing less is acceptable.

Jett admitted afterwards that his foot was giving him problems in the ruts: “Normally I really like these conditions and I can ride them well and it’s not like how I don’t lose at this out of nowhere and I just struggle with my foot today and trying to like be balanced, especially with these ruts that this muddy sand just pulls you in and obviously I have all my weight on my left foot so then coming in it just really makes it more drastic instead of being even so I just struggle all my balance stuff like that and I gave my foot a good few flex and stuff like that so this rough day in the office but we’ll go back and get better and try and be a little bit better for Southwick. Asked if his foot hurt Jett confirmed, “After the race it was pretty stiff and sore, so yeah.”
