Race results: MXGP World Championship RD10 – Agueda – Herlings wins

Race One: Lucas Coenen was leading early and was sprinting away at the front of the pack, he even had time for a small tip over and still pick it up in first. Jeffrey Herlings had a tough time getting around Ruben Fernandez for second and by the time he did, Coenen was gone.

Herlings did get the gap down to around four seconds but couldn’t get close enough to mount an attack.

Romain Febvre had a solid race for third ahead of Tim Gajser. Fernandez eventually ended up in fifth.

Race Two: It was a fantastic race at the front and we got to see what everyone wanted. Lucas Coenen and Jeffrey Herlings going at it at the front of the pack. Coenen held the early lead but Herlings made passes on the first lap to get into second.

Herlings hounded Coenen and tried to get past a few times but Coenen had the answer… until he didn’t. Herlings made a block pass to take the win and his 117th GP win.

Gajser and Febvre battled for third and the final step on the podium before Gajser crashed which gifted Febvre third overall.
