Hunter Lawrence said in the Honda press scrum on Friday they would be taking October off, we hoped this didn’t include MXoN but has confirmed on Steve Matthes’ PulpMX show that they will be skipping the event this year after a long season for the Aussies.
There will also be no French Supercross or AusX Open as the boys and team understandably need a break from a relentless schedule over the last few years.
Matthes tweeted: “Hunter says no MxDN for the brothers this year. Taking a year off from that, Paris, Aus X.”
Hunter said: “We are electing to take this year off, especially for the team, it’s been six or seven years our off-season has been two weeks at most. Our team needs it, we feel like we need it. It’s not forever it is just for this year. No Paris Supercross or no AusXOpen, no overseas events.”
