Interview: Jett Lawrence on his injury

jaJett Lawrence was very honest yet again about his talus injury saying he doesn’t have full movement and he has had to slightly adapt how he rides the bike – but he was always lining up at Pala!

I never had any doubt of not racing, I was going to show up and race no matter what, in my head! There are still times it hurts, like when I am on the balls of my feet my heel drops, it hurts really bad, so trying to learn and get used to that. I still have paid, I am still trying to get 100% range of motion, I can;t get it past 90, it could be another year before I get full range of motion. I just broke such a bad bone to break, there is not a lot of blood flow to it and it takes a lot of impace in your foot. It doesn’t help I have ten screws and my bone is trying to bend around it and work together. It’s good enough to race, I think. Just go out there and try to do my best.”
