Lewis Phillips asked an interesting question to the new championship leader in 450 Supercross, Ken Roczen, why are things finally coming together now? And even Ken wasn’t sure how to explain it, admitting it is a combination of factors.
Roczen said: “Honestly, I don’t know. I really, truly believe it’s hard to pinpoint one thing. It’s a combination of I have been on the same motorcycle.You know, I truly believe like effort wise and riding wise and mentality, have the same as last year and the year before. But unfortunately, the injuries kind of faked all of that.You know what I mean? I just couldn’t keep going.
“But at the same time, like I am really just dealing with the situations and try to do what I need to do and just hone in when it just matters. You know, I feel like throughout the entire all these weekends, like you need six plus one and 20 plus one.That’s it. Like, I don’t care about anything else, but six plus one and 20 plus one. So why now? I don’t know.It’s just as difficult, if not more than years ago. So I honestly have no idea. I just really put blood, sweat and tears into this whole thing.”
