Jeffrey Herlings came from mid-pack to win the opener but had to work hard to keep Conrad Mewse behind him then, in moto two he holeshot but had another start device issue just like Spain that frustrated the Dutch rider but after a few turns, Herlings got the device unlocked and ran away with the win.
Herlings told Jeff Perrett: “I finally got a holeshot and then couldn’t get my starting device unlocked for six or seven turns and I was like, no, we are going to DNF! At some point it just popped out and managed to get back passed back passed Adam and win the moto. I was a bit frustrated with that because I had a massive crash because of that in Spain, it didn’t pop out either, so we have to look and see what went wrong there.
“Besides that it was good, the track waa really gnarly, the take-offs were. It was a great track, it was lovely to race here and a pleasure to be here.”
