250 East

Pierce Brown took a brilliant win to start the 250 East coast series in contrast to a painful opener last year when he crashed out of the lead and broke his back. This was redemption for Brown and all that pain, rehab and training was worth the effort!

Brown said: “I don’t even know where to start. There was so many days I didn’t know if this would happen. So many doubts, I’m just thankful I didn’t stop fighting.”

Brown held off Jo Shimoda who led early by three seconds until a flashing red light made him roll a double to become the chaser but he too had to be pleased with second with only three weeks back on the bike after breaking his neck in the off season!

Third on the podium was Daxton Bennick who also came back from injury making all three podium riders happy with their ride and determination to come back from adversity.

Seth Hammaker and Cole Davies banged bars going into turn one, Hammaker stayed up but Davies went down with the Kiwi kid coming back to fifth as Hammaker took fourth.
