Race results: AMA Supercross RD6 – Seattle

Eli Tomac took the win after a battle with early race leader, Cooper Webb, and a charging Ken Roczen on a severely rutted track with Tomac finally pulling away late.

Webb solidified second with Roczen not far behind but Hunter Lawrence was on the charge after an average start but then, with a couple laps to go, Lawrence put a risky move on Roczen that left both on the ground with Roczen going from third to tenth in a costly night not of his own doing!

Justin Cooper inherited third with Lawrence fourth just ahead of Sexton who would have been a distant sixth without the Roczen/Lawrence clash.

Lawrence still leads the championship by one point over Tomac with Roczen tied on third with Webb, eleven points back.

A regretful Lawrence said: “I feel like an idiot. I was already going down and I got Kenny involved in that. It sucks.”

Haiden Deegan and Levi Kitchen finally got to battle for the win in a classic race in Seattle as Kitchen ran down and passed Deegan for the lead! The crowd went wild but Deegan didn’t give in and the duo passed and re-passed each other with some brake-checks added in!

Ultimately it was Deegan who made the final pass to take the win and both ge and Kitchen fist-bumped after the chequered flag to show some mutual respect with Deegan saying!: “That was the gnarliest battle I’ve ever had racing!” While Kitchen agreed saying: “That had to be the coolest race of my life!”

Max Anstie was back on the podium in third but said he can’t stop coughing since A1 and his chest is burning making it hard to breath over the last few weeks.
