Official: Jayson van Drunen signs with DVS Junior TM Racing for 2026

The 2025 season didn’t go the way Jayson van Drunen had hoped after signing with the AIT Fantic Racing team to contest the EMX125 series. An early injury stalled his momentum, and just as he worked his way back onto the bike, another setback followed. Although he eventually returned to racing, the year never quite clicked into gear for the talented Dutch rider.

Despite the frustrations, van Drunen now has a fresh opportunity ahead – and a big one. For 2026, he will move up to the highly competitive EMX250 series, marking the next milestone in his career.

The DVS Junior TM Racing team have put their faith in the young Dutchman, signing him for what will be his rookie EMX250 campaign. He becomes the team’s second confirmed rider for the season, joining the exciting addition of Lynn Valk as the squad continues to build an impressive line-up.

With a full off-season to prepare and a proven structure behind him, van Drunen will be hoping that 2026 brings far more luck – and a platform to show why he remains one of the Netherlands’ brightest prospects.

Dirk Vansummeren (team manager):

We were talking with several riders to join the team and after a few online meetings with Peter and Richard of TM Holland about the support of a Dutch rider I put Jayson’s name forward. Jayson had a bad year because of injuries but he showed at the last race in Valkenswaard what he can do when he is fit. Jayson is a fighter and we believe that he can do very well. He knows that 2026 will be important year but I am sure that he will give 110% to score some points and that’s why we want to take him onboard.

The team posted the news via social media:

“DVS junior racing is happy to announce the second rider for the 2026 season. He is Dutch, 17 and fast. His name Jayson van Drunen, Jayson will race the EMX250 championship with the support of Peter and Richard from TM Holland. Stay tuned for more news of 2 UK youngsters that we will announce very soon”.
