Charlie Heyman has confirmed he will continue his partnership with SC Sporthomes Husqvarna for the 2026 season, following a breakthrough campaign in 2025 that saw him cement his place among Britain’s top MX2 talents.
The young rider enjoyed a strong British Championship season, staying firmly in title contention all year. Heading into the final rounds, Heyman was still very much in the hunt, and while he ultimately finished second overall, the season was highlighted by him claiming the U21 British Championship title.
“I am super, super happy to be riding for SC Sporthomes Husqvarna again next season, and I look forward to making it an even better season,” Heyman said.
Heyman’s 2025 campaign wasn’t limited to British Championship racing. The Brit also had the opportunity to contest a handful of AMA Pro Motocross rounds in the United States, lining up against some of the best 250cc riders in the world. The experience gave him valuable exposure to a different style of racing and offered lessons that will be crucial as he continues to develop his skills.
In addition to his AMA outings, Heyman also contested the EMX250 championship at his home GP in Matterley Basin. It was a solid showing from the young Brit, finishing eighth overall and impressively claiming fifth place in race two. The result not only demonstrated his ability to perform on the European stage but also provided a glimpse of what he could achieve with more international experience under his belt.
Looking ahead, Heyman will remain under the SC Sporthomes Husqvarna awning for 2026. His primary focus will be on the MX2 British Championship, where, after finishing runner up this season, he will be determined to reach the top step of the podium. In addition, he will once again race selected rounds of the AMA Pro Motocross series, and appearances in the EMX250 championship are also possible, depending on the calendar.
Neil Prince, team manager of SC Sporthomes Husqvarna, expressed his delight at retaining Heyman for another season:
“I’m really happy to continue with Charlie for next year. Hopefully we can help make it to the top step of the podium. He has the talent and the dedication to push even further next season, and we’re excited to continue supporting him on that journey.”
While the full 2026 team line-up has yet to be revealed, one thing is certain: Charlie Heyman will be staying under the awning with another season of high-level domestic and international racing ahead.
