Haiden Deegan is finally IN for team USA and the rapid American, on the verge of defending his outdoor title, has shot down the critics of him not racing MXoN last year, saying on his latest vlog, the reason he didn’t attend Matterley Basin was because he needed wrist surgery. The very confident Deegan added he is excited to race the GP riders to ‘see what they got!’
An open invitation there for the potential MX2 Nations riders like de Wolf, Coenen, Längenfelder and Adamo to show Deegan their speed!
Deegan said: “Des Nations, last year people still run their mouth but they are probably broke, that’s why. I had to get screws out of my wrist, that’s why I couldn’t race it last year. This year they said do you want to race it and I was right up for it, healthy, let’s go. It’s huge to get selected for that, the best guys get selected throughout their career. To do it on a 250, there is only one guy that gets selected for it so yeah, I’m excited. Race the GP guys and see what they got. That’s really it, healthy as of now and we have a stacked team, we can win it.”
