Race One: Mano Faure will be kicking himself, he passed young Moritz Ernecker for the lead and then got himself a nice gap of 7 seconds at the front of the field. However, the French rider then crashed and picked himself up just ahead of Alvisi. He started to pull away again but then had another crash which allowed Alvisi to win the race – the Racestore KTM rider is showing just how mature he is though, it’s hard not to be impressed with him.
Filippo Mantovani had a lonely ride in third with Dani Heitink coming through to fourth after being outside the top ten on the first lap. Jarne Bervoets made some late moves to get himself into the top five over Ryan Oppliger.
Race Two: It wouldn’t be MXGP in 2025 without some overnight rain so conditions were totally different for race two – it’s the normal now!
Faure got into the lead early and was looking good in the difficult conditions meanwhile championship leader, Alvisi was outside the top ten. With two laps to go Faure lost his goggles and Mantovani came out of nowhere to apply the pressure.
The young Italian who was pushing too hard then crashed which allowed Faure to take the win and the overall. Mantovani dropped to fourth which cost him a podium and allowed Heitink into second which allowed him to finish third overall.
Alvisi rode a mature race coming from outside the top ten all the way to third for second overall.
