Philip McCullough provided a detailed plan of how he’d be able to take the Irish team to Ironman, America for the 2025 Motocross des Nations. However, he has now confirmed his proposal has been rejected.
It remains to be seen what this means for team Ireland and if they will actually send a team but it looks like McCullough won’t be team manager if indeed they do.
McCullough posted the following update:

As previously announced, and in the interests of transparency, fairness and for the inclusion of our WHOLE community I stated that I would make all communications sent from me and to me publicly available for everyone to see.
After submitting my initial proposal, attending an interview and submitting another proposal the MX Commission met last night (29th May).
This morning I received the below email.
I could write a very detailed response to this (and I still may) but for now, I will leave this up to the riders, licence holders, parents and fans to come to their own conclusions on the contents of this email.
