Jason Meara who is having a great season racing in the UK contesting the Fastest 40 series as well as the British Championship has a new challenge this weekend.
The Irish based rider has decided to head to the MXGP paddock this weekend by contesting the roughest track on the calendar, Lommel, in Belgium. Meara is set to race the EMX Open championship taking place this weekend.
It’ll be a good challenge and good to see how he adapts to the deep sand as well as racing against new competition.
“I finally got an entry confirmed for Lommel for the European Open championship. I am looking forward to it, I am not too sure what to expect. I rode Lommel around ten years or so again and didn’t get on too well with it then…”
“But I’ve matured a lot as a rider since then and I’m pretty happy with how the season has been going so far. I am hoping to go there, do my best and more importantly get some more time in the sand ahead of the next round of the British Championship taking place at Hawkstone”, Meara told GateDrop.com.
