23 years ago saw some great racing and this weekend’s Uddevalla track in Sweden for the 2001 GP in a very different format! Dorna had just taken charge and made the controversial and unpopular decision to make it one moto per class in line with MotoGP for the 125, 250 and 500 classes.
As it turned out the racing was fantastic but Dobb broke a collarbone in the 125, Crockard took on Pichon and an 18 year old rookie called Chad Reed in the 250 class as Stefan Everts went at it with Joel Smets and Peter Johansson who was on fire at his home GP!
