The 125cc class produced some great racing. In the first race Cole McCullough got away and was leading comfortably before a red flag but the race was declared a result. However, he was then bizarrely docked after the race due to environmental issues which dropped him down to sixth. It ended up being a Fantic 1-2 with Van Mechgelen in second. Dani Heitink was third on his MJC Yamaha. The McCullough’s aren’t likely to race a Dutch Masters again the future.

The second moto was chaos! Van Mechgelen ended up taking the win holding off McCullough who made a few costly mistakes but still managed to get second, the speed isn’t a problem! Gregoire who was leading ended up third ahead of Heitink who made a mistake on the last lap.

It ended up being a perfect day for the van Mechgelen family because in the 85cc class, Torre van Mechgelen (Douwe’s younger brother) had the perfect day going 1-1.
