Eli Tomac lost the red plate after getting caught up in a first turn crash at Glendale when Christian Craig collected the championship leader that left both riders on the ground.
Tomac was very slow to get up but fortunately he did get back on the bike and started working his way through the pack to 12th but dropping to third in points, eight points behind new points leader, Hunter Lawrence with Glendale winner, Ken Roczen, now second in the championship.
