450 Supercross points leader, Hunter Lawrence, made a rare mistake in Q1 at Detroit that saw him fly into the Steve Matthes nets! Fortunately Hunter was unhurt and qualified in eighth with title rival, Eli Tomac, seventh, with Ken Roczen, third in the championship quickest.
Lawrence then rebounded in Q2 to go quickest over Roczen with Tomac back in ninth.
