The US weren’t the only ones to have nightmares with the backmarkers last weekend as Tim Gajser was lucky he wasn’t left injured at the very start of a very hyped season on his Yamaha MXGP debut!
The unlucky Slovenian landed on a backmarker and went down hard in the qualifying race, he somehow was able to get back up and back in the race, sore, yes but not seriously injured! See how the rest of his weekend went as the Slovenian improved each moto to end up in a much more positive position than after the qualifying race!
Gajser said of the crash: “For how big the crash was I’m okay, luckily, thankfully! Tough day in the office!
On his Sunday Gajser said: “We can take a lot of positives, improving from session to session. I always want to be in front, that’s the aim but we have been struggling a bit with the track, not the most comfortable on it. We did improvements and the last moto I felt we did big steps, the riding was good, more relaxed, I could play more with the bike, speed was there as well.”
But the biggest question for all the Yamaha riders was who do you prefer – Ronaldo or Messi? Watch below:
